Republican vice presidential nominee JD Vance was booed Thursday at an International Association of Firefighters conference in Boston after he said he and former President Donald Trump are the most “pro-workers Republican ticket in history.”
Traditionally, Vance’s party has opposed pro-union legislation. Only 35% of Republicans say unions are having a positive impact, and 61% view unions negatively, according to a February Pew Research report.

After decades of progress peaking with a woman winning a major party nomination for president while a black man was Commander-in-chief and gay marriage was legal, we've rapidly regressed to passing laws banning Muslims, demonizing Mexicans, pardoning civil rights violators, removing abortion rights, and mob violence against the government following lies about a "stolen" election.
This is not merely some moralizing talking point; America has tangibly regressed and done so quickly. The leader of a major political party is convicted felon due for sentencing next month.
