I know in 1948 the British were chosing between giving the Jewish people Palestine or Ghana. Quite a bizarre way of solving the problem, if you ask me.
The problem being that the Jews have been persecuted for ridiculous reasons since the beginning of time.
Instead of educating the majority that Judism is just a religion and you shouldn't discriminate against anyone and let people be, they decided to give "them" someone elses country.

That there is a war in Europe and the French are persecuted and destroyed, gassed and condemned. In the end the forces of good win and the poor French are inhumanly treated.
The UN comes together and decides to pack them off to the East coast of the US ('cause they have claim to that land dating back 300 years, and there they will be safe from the hordes of European Frog-haters).
So the UN decides to give them all the East coast States including New York and Florida. Oh and a couple of bread basket States as well.
How's that solution going to sit with the receiving population?
