Which is the LAST thing Moscow Mitch wants.
Since Chump is innocent according to Moscow Mitch, he doesn't NEED facts.
AND if for some crazy reason Bolton testifies in the senate, it would make zero difference to Moscow Mitch anyway since Trump is our king. Well, Moscow Mitch's king anyway.

@sonhouse

Bolton is hedging his bets, pretending to be cooperative for PR reasons but betting that the Senate won't actually call him to testify under oath.

It might backfire though, the house may call him and then where will his credibility be if he refuses?

That's probably true. If Bolton was so hot to testify, why didn't he do it in front of the House impeachment proceedings? I don't trust Bolton one little bit.

Bolton is not stupid or impulsive. Trump is both. Just wait til Trump starts throwing his own people under the bus ... then the truth will come out.

@Earl-of-Trumps
Yes, it’s over !! Trump has been impeached.
From here on in, it’s about collecting material for the 2020 campaign.

Trump will have his base, 40% at best.
To pull over the undecideds in the middle, he will have to prove his fitness for office.
The economy ? A false boom. Running on a line of credit. $22 trillion now ?
Global geo-political stability ? Severely damaged. This administration is the modern day Keystone Cops.
Trump has made a mess with his “I have more toys than you” approach to foreign policy.
Foreign election interference ? Another mess !! Brought on by his childishness. Instead of walking away from the Mueller report with a sigh of relief, he let his big, but fragile, ego get the better of him.
Not enough that Mueller let him off the hook for colluding with the Russians, he couldn’t stand the conclusion that the Russians did interfere in the 2016 election. Inferring that he needed help to win.
Then to top that, he actually leaned on a vulnerable country, Ukraine, for exactly that same kind of help.

Let’s see what else falls of the closet during the 2020 campaign.

He has to testify in under the conditions he says he is willing to. He says he is willing to do something that he doesn't have a choice to do unless he wants to violate the law.

You have been duped by spin again. If Bolton was able to refuse testifying in the house it is only because they let him get away with it. If they wanted to make him they could have. Remember that word that starts with an "S"?

It's over until Republican Senators who vote to acquit (or mistrial) come up for re-election.

@Metal-Brain
You really are naive. Do we actually have to go over the reasons they (Dems) were in a bind about testimonies?
Do we have to spell out politics 101 to you?
Try this for a change. Think about why democrats would have a hard time either way getting testimonies from dudes Trump told not to.
Think about legal implications of that.

The house did not subpoena John Bolton. Why?

A subpoena is a sure way to get a person to testify. Why no subpoena?

That is the REAL point of the impeachment process . I live in a very red state (Texas) but in a very blue part . In 2020 if Houston were to go around 55% Dems then Texas would be up for grabs , first time since 1964 . Texas has had a lot of immigration from California in the last 10 years so it could happen .

Like I said, you really need to study politics 101.

Here is a list of those subpoena'd and amongst those are people ignoring them.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2019/10/09/impeachment-trump-who-has-been-subpoenaed/3912226002/

Bolton:

https://www.cnn.com/2019/11/07/politics/john-bolton-no-subpoena-court-battle/index.html

So you don't care or don't know about timing.
It will take a long drawn out court battle to force Bolton to testify when he runs it through the courts and if they waited say another 6 months for all that to roll out even if they are successful, the impeachment would run into SCOTUS ruling it is too close to election time to allow it to proceed.
So it has to be done NOW not this coming September or so.

That is the whole POINT of Trump's defense.
RUN OUT THE CLOCK. The longer CHUMP can run in the courts the closer to the elections it will be and the impeachment could end with a whimper.

Now as it is, Moscow Mitch and Lindsey Graham Cracker are rigging the trial so there will BE no witnesses, so it will be a scam trial and history AND voters will figure out their absolute hypocrisy considering Graham Cracker's statements during the Clinton senate trial.

https://www.newsweek.com/lindsey-graham-resurfaced-video-witnesses-clinton-trump-impeachment-1480835

So TELL ME just how fair a trial are those two hypocrites going to make it?

you are on it...if they subpoena that would open the door for gop to subpoena. dems will not do that.
