And attempting a coup. He was guilty, but our justice system is so corrupt that it stalled, failing to bring him to trial. 😆
Justice is the MOST IMPORTANT thing government should be able to provide. It is what we pay taxes for, but it failed miserably in putting Traitor Trump behind bars.
Our generation has TRULY failed to implement "government by the people". We ...[text shortened]... think there is nothing that worries me more about America's democratic future than that simple fact.
Gives me the creeps.
Workers of the World, UNITE!!!!!!!!
Uh, work. Tell us, who do these workers work for.?????
Spruce, just who will they be working for. I employ a LOT of people. A lot. The people will work for me?
Will they work for government? But govt has no money. How will govt pay them money to buy bread and sugar?
@AverageJoe1 saidJust stop with this lie.

God, you're actually worse than Trump.
@AverageJoe1 saidI'm referring to your lie that the government has no money.
Who would they work for? Who or what would be employers.
Why don't you talk about something you'd know about, like why do Republicans have no morals?
@Suzianne saidWell, we can try this. My aunt Plum does not like banks. She has asked me to hold $5000 of her money in safekeeping, to be drawn on by her as needed in the future. Now, as you said in a recent post, the government ‘has’ the money that we pay in taxes. By the same token, I ‘have’ the money of aunt Plum.

So, the money that I ‘have’…...Whose money is it?
@AverageJoe1 saidIf you declare bankruptcy, it is your creditors money. Aunt Plum doesn't get a dime. 😆

@spruce112358 saidWhy don’t you say if I get hit by a truck. You are being childlike.

This post is to answer Sue who said that taxes we pay into the government belongs to the government. Quick answer to that if the governmentceased to exist, and all of you won your anarchy, then all of the money would theoretically be given back to us, as there would be no treasury needed. It is ours.
Your post is a big zero. And your post says that My creditors, let me get this straight, are entitled to the money that I have in a shoebox that belongs to aunt Plum?
Childlike

If you hadn’t told Auntie Plum to watch Fox News, she would have trusted banks and gummint and wouldn’t be out that money.
Instead, you have to brag that you screwed your Aunt! That’s gross, @AverageJoe1.

@AverageJoe1 saidTaxes are paid. It is an obligation. Just like paying your bills is an obligation. You pay your bills, that money is now not yours, it now belongs to the company whose bill you paid.

Similarly, you pay your taxes, you paid an obligation. That money is now not yours, you spent it to pay your obligation. It belongs to the government.
I do not see how you do not recognize this simple idea. Money you spend, whether to buy something, to pay a bill, to pay your taxes, that money is spent, it no longer belongs to you. It belongs to the people you gave it to to reduce your obligation to them.
You should know, if you actually are a businessman, and not a blowhard, that money spent is gone. You have no further say what the people you gave it to use it for. It is now their money. This is a bedrock tenet about finances.
@AThousandYoung saidHe's a Republican. They're snowflakes. They think the Constitution was written only for them, even though it says, "We the People" right at the top.
Why do you hate the Constitution?

@AverageJoe1 saidLook at Charitable Giving dollars as a percentage of income, not just total dollars. You're wrong, again.
I would indeed like for you to start a thread that repubs have no morals. I promise I won’t bring up that we lead in charitable giving.
So, what have you got?
Also, by any other metric, Republicans have the worst morals, especially considering that a higher percentage of them claim to be Christian.
