Nearly eight in 10 Americans, 78 percent, say Trump should testify under oath in the probe if he is asked to do so, according to a CNN poll released Tuesday. Another 18 percent said Trump should not testify if he is asked.

A majority of Americans in each political category said Trump should testify if asked, including 59 percent of Republicans, 95 percent of Democrats and 75 percent of independents.

Already a majority of Americans think Trump tried to interfere with the Russia probe i.e. obstruct justice:

A slight majority of Americans in the CNN poll, 51 percent, said they thought Trump had attempted to interfere with the federal Russia probe, while 41 percent said they did not think he had tried to interfere.

It's going to get a lot worse for Trump and you, mott.

It should be under oath or nothing.

I find it "funny" that you refuse to accept any evidence that shows your extreme beliefs are extreme.

About the same results in a CBS poll here: http://www.newsweek.com/trump-mueller-interview-republicans-784420

I'm anxiously awaiting your presentation of a scientifically conducted national poll that disputes those results.

I'm pretty sure I will wait in vain.

    It doesn't matter:

Lying to an FBI agent — regardless of whether or not there’s an oath — is still a federal crime, one that both former national security adviser Michael Flynn and former Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos have already pleaded guilty to as part of the Mueller investigation.

Mott, do you think it’s alright for someone to make demands and set conditions for being interviewed in a police / FBI enquiery?

I doubt he'll actually wind up agreeing to a face to face interview no matter what he blusters to the press and public; he's a transparent liar and he'd likely incriminate himself beyond repair.

I think it is stupid to talk with any law enforcement officer if not required to under law. In 99% of cases they are not there to help you, they are there to harm you...guilty or innocent.
