Justice has been a long time coming, But after seven years of negotiation with the UN, the tribunal was established last year

Cambodian police have arrested the most senior living member of the Khmer Rouge regime. Nuon Chea will now face a genocide trial for his alleged role in almost two million deaths in the 1970s.

Nuon Chea played a pivotal role in the rise of Pol Pot. He was seen as one of the architects of radical ideology, sending millions to collective farms and persecuting and murdering intellectuals and other possible opponents.

Could have happened much sooner if the International Court had been ratified by America... the bureaucracy is streamlined there compared to the UN... though they don't have the death penalty and the UN does... maybe that explains it...
