Your version of responsibility.
Pushed by a minority of the population onto the majority of the population.

And you can deny, deny, deny till your lungs give out.....
But your views on reproductive management are driven by religious morality.
Why else would there be religious opposition to birth control options available.
Besides abstinence of course.

Sex exists outside of pro-creation, whether you like it or not.
And unplanned pregnancies happen.
Humans need to be better at managing it, that is a given.
But those who stick their heads in the sand, or the Bible, whichever is more convenient at the moment, are missing the mark on the debate.

I've tried to avoid the abortion debates as a rule, because it is a debate with complexities (legal, scientific, technical, emotional) with valid arguments from both sides.
I step in on occasion when those who are ignorant on the subject and driven by outdated morality beliefs tend to dominate the debates.

you have things reversed...

"The extremeness of U.S. abortion law is in contrast, the report notes, to an Associated Press survey, which shows that "65 percent of Americans believe that abortion should almost always be illegal in the second trimester."

The poll also shows that 80 percent of Americans believe abortion should be nearly illegal in the third trimester. "

@Kevin-Eleven
That is one of the POINTS of the repub attack on our republic.

They want the US to be 50 independent countries it seems to me anyway.

They want government so small it is a figurehead so they can keep their power and bask in the sun.
So the Trump led Zombie army lives on.

I believe that the points being made have some validity.
If the issue is around late term abortion, then there is a valid debate.

But where will the conservatives stop on the issue ?
I have heard often enough from the religious right that allowing abortion increases sexual promiscuity.
With an argument like that, this seems to indicate a stance on abortion irregardless of how far the pregnancy is along.
I've seen you blather in this forum that women "should have kept their legs closed" on more than one occasion.
I have to wonder about your stance on a woman terminating her pregnancy as soon as she finds out that she has unplanned pregnancy.

men dont get pregnant.
If they could, you can bet your ass that abortion would be free, easy, and entirely uncontroversial, with absolutely no stigma attached to it.

I should have stated 6 countries. and contrary to lib speak, abortion is allowed in cases of rape, incest and health...no one has banned that so quit trying to use it as a point.
Texas has banned it.

So, let’s see this for what it is:

Republicans are anti-vax, because government shouldn’t tell people what they can and cannot do with their bodies.
Republicans are anti-abortion, because it’s up to government to tell people what they can and cannot do with their bodies.

No wonder republicans sound like someone face-fukked them through the nose holes and splattered their brains over a pick-up.

Or he's still working on a response to my post.
Which seems to be asking the questions that get to the heart of the issue.

Or ....... maybe he's just not working on a response. 🤔
