Didn’t you say you lived in Florida or at least now?
No, I did not. What does that have to do with the issue under discussion?

I can make it simple for you: right-wingers value corporate profits over the environment.

Republicans laugh at climate scientists and think decades of data from the most educated scientists all around the world is a hoax. This includes right wingers like Mott, Metalbrain, Wajoma, and all the Republicans in Congress either blocking change initiatives (like Trump putting g ...[text shortened]... ericans. Anyone who's been around Debates for at least 2 years has seen endless threads about this.
Blaming Republicans? Thats lame.

Well the Democrats have been in power as well, have they not?

What have they done?

You call it "blame". The world calls it "fact".

The Trump Administration Rolled Back More Than 100 Environmental Rules. Here’s the Full List.

As for what Dems have done:

@vivify
That is EXACTLY right. Look at Trump during the debate, saying Germany went to "Natural' energy sources, when he really means they want to fire up coal plants again and what he wants every day so he can win political favor with big energy companies who could give a rats ass how bad the place looks after coal mining, stripping down holes hundreds of feet deep and across peppering the landscape.
WE remember what that looked like and don't want it again.
Trump made a FOOL of himself tonight on that debate, couldn't even look Harris in the eye.
He couldn't even cross halfway to do the handshake, a disrespectful display showing exactly what is going through his addled ancient brain.

Well you went off the topic of the trees and listed other things. I then remembered you saying that and relating that it’s a vacation state that does use a lot.

Interesting how you are ignoring your lack of action in the following areas where the US is guilty:
- consume [and waste] more than your fair share of energy per capita
- waste a ton load of edible food
- kill surplus animals so that prices remain high
- burn unnecessary fuel engaging in petty shallow activities
The Metal-Brain school of debate: say the same no-details stuff over and over and over until you turn blue.

The topic is climate change and how to fix it. Trees is just one aspect of climate change. The point is that the US point fingers at other countries and not do anything about their own contribution to the problem. Got it?

Never said anything about vacation state.

It reduces cloud cover which allows more heat from the sun to penetrate. So we are sowing our own destruction.

And that is on TOP of all the CO2 from burning fossil fuels. And the methane released by melting tundra.

Our great grandkids are going to pay the price for our avarice.
WaPo journalists cited a new study about Earth's global surface temperatures over the last 485 million years. In 2023, Earth's average temperature reached 58.96 F (14.98 C), well below the average 96.8 degrees F (36 degrees Celsius) the study showed around 100 million years ago. The trend shows Earth's temperatures have been sliding for 50 million years.

FOUR times at least where temperatures were several degrees higher than normal and that is within the last 400,000 years NOT 50 MILLION YEARS.

LOL!

Yeah 4 times between the last 4 ice ages. Ice ages are cyclical every 100,000 years.
