Bit of a surprise; the right wingers were cackling over an expected victory by Le Pen's National Rally semi-fascists but it's looks like they are finishing third. https://www.politico.eu/article/france-legislative-election-2024-second-round-front-populaire-jean-luc-melenchon-raphael-glucksmann-shock-victory/

Along with Labor's big win the UK, that's two Leftist victories in key Western nations in a matter of days. What's the spin on this?

France is very wary of fascists, and Le Pen is finding it difficult to crawl out from under her father's mantle. This is not the first time the leftists have voted tactically to defeat the right. Mitterrand did 1981:

What happened in the UK was less a principled shift to the left, as Tory-exhaustion.

Marine le pen can still win if Mike pence has the courage.

That's how it works right?

Exacy this.

However, it is good to see a left-wing message being endorsed. What with Orban visiting every dictator alive and all that.
