Now that everyone knows that Hillary Clinton will be the next president, now I guess is as good a time as any to let the lies start flowing. The best one yet is that she said once she and her husband left the White House they were dead broke.

Machiavelli once stated in "The Prince", "A great leader must be a great pretender and dissembler".
How many agree here? It seems that what Machiavelli is saying is that the best liar wins and is the best leader.
The problem here is the notion of democracy. If this is true then democracy is a lie, because we are voting based upon false premises.

you do realize though that none of clinton even came close to bush/cheney's lying? can you admit at least that much?
Oh, and don't forget she voted to go to war in Iraq and then watched it all unfold and did nothing to stop it.

You can say that seriously?
For example, when Clinton lied about the blue dress it was deemed forgivable. However, when Nixon lied about Watergate it was deemed unforgivable.
Will Obama's lies about Obamacare be unforgivable? I think that the more people who are negatively effected in terms of their health will be the key.
Then again, what I'm reading about the VA scandal and the fact that many are coming forward now saying how the VA screwed them over for years before the scandal broke tells me that such anger can be suppressed for extended periods of time, if not indefinitely.
Originally posted by stellspalfieThere are plenty of Hilary moments to question, even though in her first 8 years in the spotlight it wasn't an elected position. One of my favorites was when she turned the Whitehouse travel office into a partisan plum by ending the career of someone who had served Presidents of both parties with her lies.
just sayin. i mean if thats the worst they have got on her, then she looking pretty clean by politician standards.
You don't have to like Bush and Cheney, but they were both straight up truthful guys compared to either Mr. or Mrs. Clinton.
