Yes but those folks at those levels NEVER see the top level stuff so it might as well be ME as secretary of defense, I did 4 years myself but hardly saw an officer. Why not me then?

Strange how people on this forum think they could do a better job in many political positions but when it comes to a decorated soldier with combat experience who is for the troops, y'all reject it.
Wars are about to happen and the armed forces need someone to inspire recruitment.
The current brass and the like does not inspire recruitment or anything for that matter.
