On this solemn day where our suffering hero Herman was forced to throw in the towel to reflect on what poor judgment is displayed by most Republican voters. Most people I know could see through Cain in about 20 seconds. In fact, I told my wife after the only interview of Cain's wife that it was clear that the women loathed the man, no doubt lived apart from him, and likely would not walk across an empty street to spit on him if he was on fire. Now poor little victimized Herman has had to quit because his wife (by his own admission an astute Democratic voter) will no longer provide cover for his low character. This illustrates what I have said many times; many Republicans are so lacking in character themselves that cannot be trusted to arrive at the correct appraisal of anyone else.

Guess you voted for Clinton his second time around because of his stellar character?

Yes! Because I knew exactly what he was when I voted for him the first time. Told my wife then he was a country lawyer, "after shaking hands with him, you check your wallet and then look around to see where your wife and daughter are." From the character standpoint can you tell me the difference between Clinton and Gingrich? I've asked this before here and no Republican can answer - demonstrating my point again! (It is a pitiful and inhuman morality that demands perfection in large things and ignores the small sacrifices that birth compassion.)

So you knew when you voted for Clinton that he was a man of bad character? That means that character means nothing to you and as your quote goes then I am left to infer that neither does your wife or daughter then. That is if you truly believe what you told me. As far as Gingrich goes I doubt there is any difference between him and Clinton's character which is why he will not get my vote. I also would not vote for Cain now either knowing his character.

What small sacrifices are you referring to and to what compassion do they birth?

I think Cain would have made a poor Republican nominee and, if he'd been able to beat Obama - which I doubt - a poor president too. His withdrawal is good news for the GOP I think.

Herman Cain was an art project (yes I watch MSNBC, get over it ;-P ) and would indeed
have been a lousy president.

But is their anyone in the republican race right now who would make a good one?

Gingrich is on a book tour, and Mit Romney is hated by his own party and is the reason
people are pissed at the 1% that he not only supports but is. Everyone else currently is
also ran.

Basically the republicans (the serious ones) have decided they can't beat Obama and thus
are not running this year, so it's silly season in republican land.

Anyone think Obama wouldn't wipe the floor with any of the current republican field?

No, I'm not stupid enough to think you can sum human beings up with labels that conceal more than they reveal. The fact that you can't tell me the difference between Clinton in Gingrich is my point. I can discriminate differences that you are not even aware of because you can't feel them. That enabled me to conclude that despite Bill Clinton's failings he would act in a way that demonstrated empathy and compassion for his fellow citizens and ensure that we had peace and prosperity (and indeed his years were the best in modern history.) I know that you can't see this and I know that your heart is hardened against any thought that others might not have to suffer like you do. I am sorry for you. Fear will never give birth to compassion.

There is a significant distinction to be made between Clinton's out-of-wedlock shenanigans and Cain's. The Democratic party, for all its faults, doesn't make a point of always assuming the moral high-ground and it rarely ingratiates itself with the kind of social conservatives who value traditional Christian sexual morality above all else; the same cannot be said of the Republican party as a whole or Herman Cain as a GOP candidate.

By virtue of his own historical assertions of moral rectitude, Herman Cain ought to be measured by a different standard than Clinton, and the allegations leveled against him must be considered in the context of the nature of his electoral campaign.

Just more double talk. Feel sorry for yourself not me. You danced around my post so I realize there is no real debate to be had with you. You don't debate, you prostelisize your views onto others.

Yeah - exactly, you can't dance at all - can you? I've already told you that I never expect to be able to debate you because you can't even appreciate what I'm talking about. This is no surprise to me. I do know that you are hurting. My simple advice (whether you want it or not) is to ease up on others and you might start to feel better about yourself (couldn't hurt - just like it wouldn't hurt to turn Fox off from time to time.)

You may be correct, but Democratic hit men are taking contracts on Republican candidates one by one, until they hopefully will end up selecting the nominee just as they did with John McCain.

Your all wrong.. 1- don't watch fox 2- never said I was a republican( I'm not) . So like I said you can assume to know who I am and make a bunch of generalizations about me and everyone else you have me lumped me into. That is why I was interested in your post anyhow. Like I have been trying to say ' you know it all' and you like telling everyone you do. Proof positive of your ignorance. You can keep fooling yourself but I've figured guys like you out years ago. So keep blowing your horn but no one is listening.

You think Democrats arranged for Cain to have a 13 year affair with Ms. Ginger White and arranged for him to pay her monthly bills and expenses during that time, and saw to it that he didn't tell his wife about it? How much did your "Democratic hit men" get for the "contract" of setting all that up?
