Right now let's just assume that Hillary Clinton has already won the 2008 election. If you were to write a letter to her when she got in office what would you tell her?
I'd tell her to get the hell out of there before she gets us all killed!
But if she wants to stay I would ask her this
1. Why aren't people always getting life in prison or the death sentence if they are found guilty of any kind of murder?
2. Why is it ok to kill an unborn child just because a couple of morons had too many?
3. Most of our founding fathers were christian. Why aren't the values upheld in our country?
4.What do you plan to do about illegal immigrants crossing the boarder and robbing America?
5. Are you really going to be any different as a president? Besides having a really screwed up face.
6. Terrorists are global threat. How do you plan to track them down within the US if you're against wire-tapping? Or do you plan on doing so?
7. Do you really believe the American people will trust you in the global threat of terrorism?

1. Because the prisons are full of people who do drugs, which is against the law. There's a whole legal system that works these things out. The President doesn't make this call. These drug laws are silly, immoral and keeping violent offenders on the street.
2. Because the child, at least at some stages, is unable to suffer. Anyway people have the right to their own bodies.
3. Most of them had some tie to Christianity, but they weren't necessarily Christian. Many were Deists. In any case the Treaty of Tripoli made it quite clear that we are NOT a Christian nation.
Another example - we swear to God in court, despite the fact that Jesus specifically tells us not to do that in the Bible.

Why do republicans on one hand always ask what their government can do for them, yet on the other hand always yammer on about making government smaller and out of your lives.
Do you want the government to dictate how you run your life or not? Because a lot of those points are telling the government how to run people's lives.

'Let me do a public opinion poll and THEN I will let you know my position on the subject'
There really isn't anything new in these threads...
I guess I'll still take a stab at those that really stuck out...
1. A humane society, such as the U.S. (in theory), holds itself to a higher standard than the criminals within that society.
2. Abortions are not simply a reason to dispose of a child because "a couple of morons had too many." Surely someone who views abortion as a serious immoral act would not dismiss it so casually.
3. Read the first amendment. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..."
5. Now that's rich. It's not just you, but I have heard numerous conservatives mock democratic candidates simply because of how they looked (including John Kerry). The president of the United isn't supposed to be a fashion model or a thesbian. They're supposed to lead the country and make decisions that are beneficial to its wellbeing. Hillary definitely falls into that category.
