Advertising. Same reason my e-mail is filled with spam, I get spam phone calls and youtube videos have ads.

Remember when you told people annoyed by spam to just go outside and stop using electronics?

I find that disrespectful to the free websites that make money via ads. For example, Russ has specifically asked us not to do that here at RHP.
