In this wonderful new world of Progressive secularism, how can two people be denied marriage if they are of legal age, even if they are mother and daughter?
How is this not a violation of the recent SCOTUS ruling on gay marriage? As we all know, SCOTUS is NEVER wrong, unless they rule in favor of corporations.

[The Telegraph: A 43-year-old woman and her 23-year-old daughter have been arrested and charged with incest after authorities in Oklahoma discovered they were married. Patricia Spann, the mother, had lost custody of her three children some years ago. The daughter, Misty, and her two brother were raised by a grandparent. Ms Spann was reunited with daughter Misty two years ago, and records show that the two women got married in March this year. The relationship was discovered last month during an investigation by the state’s department of human services into the welfare of children living at the older woman’s house.]
The daughter may be a vulnerable young adult who is being subjected to emotional abuse by a mother who was deemed unfit to raise her as a child. The probation order should lead to an investigation into this.

She is an adult. Are we now to deny marriage on the speculation of such things?
What about their rights?
Shouldn't some secular Progressive psychologist assess if they are both of "sound" mind?
If they were smart enough, which neither appear to be, they should sue and take it to SCOTUS where it belongs.
We should celebrate the Progressive right to incest.
Don't tell me we have incestphobes here at RHP.

The first priority is the protection of the children under their care. They have married and are considered guilty of incest regardless of whether or not they have a sexual relationship. The crime is punishable by imprisonment. The LGBT issue can’t take precedence over the immediate need of child protection.

I know you already know the answers but I’ll pretend you don’t and play along respectfully ok.
Why is incest a crime? Think pedigree dogs or watch the film Deliverance. As for oppression? I personally agree that there’s no risk of of this female adult incestuous couple procreating so there’d be no possible developmental risk to an unborn child. As informed and consenting adults they can do whatever they chose in the privacy of their own homes but their marriage has brought it to the attention of the authorities. Children? Your article states that the mother has children living at her home.
