Macron’s demons

“The old demons are arising again” he chose to say at the French memorial today.

Further rhetoric followed aimed carelesly (and with poor timing in my opinion) at Trump and suffixing his call this week for a European army to defend against Russia and the US.

What is he trying to do ingratiate himself with his EU overlords as he positions himself as the future new head of that corporation? Impress the French people?

I just see self interest if I’m honest.

An extreme politicization of the memorial, indeed!
