The “unfair” verbiage here is important. At the surface, it sounds like it’s referring to the child, but most public criticism of New York’s GT program centers around identity groups. The program has been criticized for contributing to segregation and retrenching biases along racial and socio-economic lines, because wealthier white and Asian students are overrepresented, and black, Hispanic, and poorer households under-represented.

Mr. Mamdani argues that New York City’s gifted programs have produced racially inequitable outcomes, and therefore all students should remain in the same classrooms, regardless of ability. While well-intended, his proposal reflects a mindset that has already cost Democrats dearly: one that views progress through an identity-first, zero-sum lens, or what political scientist Yascha Mounk calls “the identity trap.”

He is doing a losing proposition again. After the failed Tran and bathroom and athletics loser ideas, he is stressing race, color, background, sex, shoe size….all kids have to be faaaaair, equal footing.
The gifted will be bored in class with non-producers, and actually end up failing. What is wrong with you people. Inequitable my ass. And what does Hispanic households underrepresent even mean. Is that racism Suzianne? I thought that was over.

Joe, you ignorant slut. How many of us do you think will get to legally vote in that election anyway?

Is that what happened to you? Being supremely intelligent must have been hard to live with all those low life's with just a 120 IQ, SO inferior to your own incredible intellect.

I don’t think you wrote that.

@AverageJoe1
Of course. MadMani is a Marxist and that explains a lot.

If smart Billy, a white kid, has better grades than Tommy, a white kid, no problem at all.
But if Billy's grades are better than Jamal's, a black kid, the racist Marxist becomes unglued.

Uh… isn’t it your types that don’t want cultures mixing, true American values watered down and millions of people deported?

Don’t you think yourself just a tad hypocrite?

Are you kidding?

Seriously?

The only ones becoming unglued about the black kid scoring higher than the white kid are the unabashed conservative racists who insist that he wouldn't have scored higher without some nebulous advantage gained from DEI or some other such prejudicial language because the racists expect blacks to be way dumber than white kids.

This is especially ridiculous when one ponders how the white kid's parents were stupid enough to vote a known liar and a known authoritarian back into office.

Annndd apparently I misread what you wrote, but that doesn't make my statement any less true.

I did not write it, i pulled it to bring all you fellas up to speed, the writer is irrelevant , you all miss the issues, that is all. This communist wants all children to be equal in every way, no A stuents, no F students, all be graded and treated equally like caged bunnies, to not think for themselves. Socialists are the scourge of society.
Remember, and I Am writing this, that Mamdani will NOT be able to produce that which he promises the dependents and parasites in NYC. These lies are PURELY to get socialists a foothold. It will be a plane crash, but will leave a wreckage that will maybe never be rebuilt in our lifetiimes.

You will find Mamdani, a puppet of Bernie in many ways to be such a liar

'Mr. Mamdani argues that New York City’s gifted programs have produced RACIALLY INEQUITABLE OUTCOMES , and therefore all students should remain in the same classrooms, regardless of ability. While well-intended, his proposal reflects a mindset that has already cost Democrats dearly: one that views progress through an identity-first, zero-sum lens, or what political scientist Yascha Mounk calls “the identity trap.”

Get this is 2nd paragraph. "Racially inequitable outcomes"?? (How can Sue keep writing about racism....;this is racism, but another isssue))
So Mamdani wants to manufacture and control and balance people by race. He wants to actually design and innovate the end result of society. He is not God. Do you think he considers that he can act as a god? Can you liberals not let things be naturally what they will be?

No politician lies as much as Donald Trump, or his harem of Trumpublicans.

Announcing that there is racism is not racist.

God, what an idiot.

Yes, there are racially inequitable outcomes. Whites are at an advantage over blacks in the schools. But this is because of endemic, systemic racism, not because whites are any smarter. THAT is the racist message of your post. That whites are smarter and how dare this guy try to get equitable outcomes by denying whites to be the master race they are, right? You are asking why not let whites be smarter, which they naturally are. This is CLEARLY a racist question.
