@AverageJoe1 saidThe only conclusion I draw from this debacle is that neither of us can count.
We were both wrong, yours was worse, it is $20,000, I missed a zero, me, an Econ guy
So, to the point, which you have proven for AJoe, is that this slime government tells me that I do not need the$20,000, which I would like to SPEND on FiVE 1st class tickets.
Shav, you would deny my taking family to the Caribbean? I worked hard, more than the guy in the next office.
(The reason I say 5 tix? Cause I will charter a private plane.)
@shavixmir saidReally, we are friends sitting at starbucks...."Hey, Shav, I want to take my family to the Caribbean, but the Mayor has declared that I must use that money (confiscation by govt...'to each according to their needs, from my abilities'..) to give to someone else for something."
The only conclusion I draw from this debacle is that neither of us can count.
What is your concerted thoughtful opinion?
Yu can do this, dont be a suzianne. And if you are a Sonhouse it will be gloss-worthy.
@AverageJoe1 saidYou’ll just have to settle for coach. Or drive a smaller bloody car.

@shavixmir saidI will accept that answer. You are loyally sticking to your beliefs. You are maybe the most genuine of posters. You are communist, we get that. (by the way, you DO want other peoples' stuff, which you denied a few clicks back)

Impressive, given the many socialists here...neither of them will admit to being socialist.
I will get my grandaughter to show me how to do a thumb
How bout this great AvJoe analogy.
A horse breeder has a fenced-in ranch of several hundred prize horses, they get rubdowns and honey is sprinkled on their oats. Some are trained to be perfect race horses
A mule, which smells like a mule or a citizen of Chad, walks up the fence gate and tries to get in. In human terms, he is looking for a better life.
The rancher looks over there and exclaims "What in the hell!?!??!??"
Please finish this story.
Edit: "Looking for a better life is" a phrase used yesterday by Marauder. I think it fits my scenario. We can maybe glean what he means, or incorporate his thoughts into your answer.

Unless it’s a chablis, then I’ll gladly drink it together.
However, I truly believe that taxation according to income is justifiable.
Just as people with more responsibilty should justifiably get paid a little more.
And that’s where you and I differ.
Nobody is worth a billion.
And a nurse carries more responsibilty than a bank manager.
Oh, I know, ne’r the twain shall meet.
Hence my forecast: only seeking middle ground, can a sustainable economic and political environment be created and maintained.
@shavixmir saidRemember, when I say 'you', I speak of your chosen economic society...that of communism. Maybe y'all should change the name, it bespeaks misery.

So, yes, the adage 'to each according need' is saying get someone's stuff. I know, I know, it is difficult to actually say it out loud.
I agree, taxation should be higher for higher earners. It already is, no one is complaining. So we agree.
And yes, an employer should pay more money to 'people with more responsibility".. I do that as we speak. Common sense. We Pay 'those who work harder than others' more money. We all agree.
Nobody is worth a billion? This begs the question...is Musk? Heading us to Mars? How about Bezos, paying salaries to One Point Six Milion people, maybe one of your mates at the Pub. Naaaaa, I think we best let them fellers run. They are worth every nickel. We differ indeed. Libs such as yourself say these things, but leave it hanging. You don't give us an alternative to canceling Musk and Bezos. I sure am glad that you and Bernie were not running things when those two were cranking it all up in the early days. I ordered a set of guitar strings from Amazon yesterday, they will arrive today (a Saturday).
Middle ground? Code for everyone being equal. Brrrrr
you see, some work harder than others;...........but I digress

The middle ground is where everyone benefits, not just the rich or poor, not just the white people, but other people too.
So, my communist ideals go out the window and so does your unbridled capitalism.
When not seeking the middle ground, you get unbridled poverty. And that can go two ways: fascist or communist.
And history has taught us that it’s the route of fascism and dictatorship which seems to get the overhand.
So either you agree to pay higher taxes, or you agree to fund an extemist government.
Which side do you want to be on?
@shavixmir saidFrom each according to their ability…
