However, if Barack Obama wants to have a discussion about truly questionable associations, let's start with his relationship with the unrepentant terrorist William Ayers, at whose home Obama's political career was reportedly launched. Mr. Ayers was a leader of the Weather Underground, a terrorist group responsible for countless bombings against targets including the U.S. Capitol, the Pentagon and numerous police stations, courthouses and banks. In recent years, Mr. Ayers has stated, 'I don't regret setting bombs... I feel we didn't do enough.'
"The question now is, will Barack Obama immediately call on the University of Illinois to release all of the records they are currently withholding to shed further light on Senator Obama's relationship with this unrepentant terrorist?"

Firstly, the claim that Obama's political career was launched at Ayers' house is complete and utter nonsense -- it's more lies and BS spread by deceitful, lying Republicans who'll stoop to any level for the sake of winning an election. Secondly, Ayers is now a professor at the University of Chicago, and -- rightly or wrongly -- is well-liked and respected. Obama has had some passing acquaintance with him due to also being a lecturer at that university, but he hasn't had any particularly close contact with him.
John McCain, on the other hand, has mafia ties.

ps: I do agree that the comment about Obama's political carreer starting at Ayers house has no real base, unless you can prove it, then it's just conjecture. But Dems use the same tactics.
Besides, the original accusation still stands. Why does Obama have a relationship with a terrorist? With his history of un-patriotic actions wouldn't he want to stay as far away from the man as possible? Or doesn't he realize that this hurts his campaign?
