@Earl-of-Trumps

Did he have billions back then to start the business?

No he didn't.

He didn't even have my limit of 30 million wealth max.

First, you say all that about Bezos without a preface,, that they don't have to work there.
You've never spent a day without an inheritance of a couple of hundreds of thousands backing you up, have you?

It shows, Joe. It shows very badly indeed. You have no idea what it's like to need a job.

Yes. Four creators/inventors - Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Vinton Cerf and Robert Kahn (internet)
If you think the first two of those are anywhere near the last two, you don't understand the first bit about anything to do with either computers in general, or the internet specifically.

Cerf and Kahn created. Jobs and Gates stole.

You think people need a lot of money to start a business?

Most of the success around you is from some guy starting in his garage.

Amazon started in his garage.

"Jeff Bezos quit his job at an investment bank in 1994 and moved to Seattle, Washington, to open a virtual bookstore. Working out of his garage with a handful of employees, Bezos began developing the software for the site, which he called Amazon.com. It sold its first book in 1995."
Most of the success around you is from inheritance and financial parasitism. Investment bank... yeah, self-made man alright! And Musk pulled himself up by his father's apartheid slaves' bootstraps, as well.

Nobody needs more than 30 million and you can't buy anything more after that.

Excessive greed hurts society.

Don't like the wealth limit then someone else will happily provide and reach that limit.

You ain't got 2 nickels to rub together so I think the 30 mill limit is fine for you.
Perplexing that you would throw out 30M when a more realistic answer may be, say, $500,000, Bernie once said $250!!!! College for 4 kids costs that, and that is before getting them cars!!! Geez
So does everyone agree with the government, Nanny, TELLING a man that he cannot keep more than $30M of the money he makes? Too much, too little?
Excessive greed hurts society? If I invent cure for cancer and get a bit greedy with my income, how does that hurt society? Geez

Together ,their creations made an IT industry that employs billions of people.

Is anybody foolish enough to think that this level of creativity can be found in communist countries?
North Korea and Cuba,, how sad.
This post will be totally ignored. They don't get it, earl.......as the type away on their computers.

"Needs" is an interesting choice of word. So one of the richest men in the world "needs" more money so he can set up a business by which he can make even more money.

Bezos' company Amazon is HQ'd in WA btw
Round out your comment, Thousand. He may need more money so he can join the space race with Musk. You leave out his reason, except for the slam that he wants to have more money. Do you truly want to rein in people like Bezos and Musk and Jobs who can do what they do? do you really? Do you really want to stifle these creators???? Punish their success, put them in jail what in the hell?
Geez. There are some really weak posts here.

You talk about "making money while you sleep" but you aren't aware of investment properties?
We are all aware of investment properties. And we all, with stock portfolios or 401k, make money in our sleep, so I don't get you there.

Please expound what you mean. I think if a guy in the USA needs a job, he can go pick one he likes out of the TEN MILLION available.
You are correct, I understand what you actually mean when you say 'need' a job. I never knew one person my many years ago who 'needed' a job or would starve, if that is what you mean.
Today I see many people who are losers, who will need a job one day as life slips up on them. Probably not hireable at my places of business. Start a thread on that one.

Google this: 80% of millionaires inherited ZERO. So, you need to round out and properly close your post.

It's some imagination if you believe that handouts, tax cuts and subsidies to large corporations trickle down to you.

We're like ants feeding the oligarchs.

Don’t understand you, are you alluding to rich people who own factories, and make all the money, while paying us on the assembly lines? I hope you are . Could you explain that in a realistic way. Where is the fault in that, if that is what you mean.

@Booger
Liion batteries don't seem to charge well in extreme cold. But that is an engineering thing or development of vehicle rated batteries not based on Lithium like the Sulfur/air battery and others. That battery could care less if it was in 120 below weather.
Besides being commercially available material not dependent on rare earths and such.
One tech coming up soon is the hydrogen powered car, H2 doesn't provide as much power as petrol does the job if engineered well and new catalysts are coming onboard to produce H2 using solar energy and some with high efficiency electrolysis but the gist there is an energy source that spits out mainly water and I think Nitrous oxide which has to be sequestered or converted to N2 and O2.
The H2 powered fuel station would work somewhat like petrol power, advantage of faster fill than most EV charge stations.
H2 and EV will compete much more heavily when H2 power is developed and H2 fuel stations pop up.
That would mean the cars would be pretty much the same as today, ICE engine but just using H2 as fuel.
Which tech will win out? Come back in 30 years......
