@jj-adams saidOh you mean before Fox News decided there were some bucks to be made from right wing rabble rousing and making stuff up for their viewers to get angry about.
Mass media never really has been held to one, but don't you think it's time that news sources were required to just state the facts without adding their two cents on which way to go?
The success of this format ensured that the rest of MSM would adopt the model.
Don’t blame the media though, blame your / ourselves.

I was hoping JJ made this mistake first.
Obviously he means CNN bad, Fox good but he didn't say it. He said "Media" is not being held to any kind of standard which is true.
Let's not kid ourselves, CNN is really bad. They also do entartainment instead of news, they also fail to inform their audience. We like to believe CNN audience is some gathering of knowledgeable aristocrats and Fox News audience is a bunch of peasants but in reality they just blame different people while letting the real guilty (the rich) off the hook
The only reason i feel reluctant to say "as bad as Fox" is that they are somewhat kinder to minorities (which is 99% a decision made purely by who their target audience is to make more money, not an ethical decision) and sometimes they stumble into some decent journalism.

...WHAT WE ALREADY KNEW,
i.e. all media is biased and it couldn't be any other way.

I watch CNN and they definitely have a political bias but nothing as extreme as some of the opinion pieces you get on Fox. But maybe I’m just not seeing it as extreme from my political perspective.
