What it suggests is that there’s nobody rational who dares say anything critical to / of her or her husband in their group of advisors.

It’s either that, or they don’t care. And it’s hard to imagine both not caring about their image / brand.

I tend to agree. It's the only realistic explanation. I'm not a fan of the first lady...but can't imagine she's that cold.

I believe she was probably rebelling against Trump's admonitions not to go there.

It's supported by Trump's quickly tweeted attempt to deflect her intent toward the "Fake News".

If this was intended to be a missile at fake news, it could have been on any other trip.

But this one ????
Trump's tweet after the fact was a weak attempt to clean up the mess.
