No. I have a computer or a hundred.

I have them update themselves and never notice anything. Why would people "have to download constant security updates" when they have a nice microsoft op sys that can update itself by one click on a checkbox? (one time check in the Auto Update options screen)

I also have them update their Norton (Excuse Me! Symantec) anti-virus several times per day. They are computers, after all. they don't mind the extra "work".

Funny, that sort of thing didn't stop the blaster worm, and I'm pretty sure it won't stop future worms either, and if you ask me, the blaster worm was a big problem (so big, that even MS had to resort to Linux to host the security update patch)..
