Get out your tinfoil hats… I ain’t kidding…

Seemingly they estimate it will take ten years for scientists to be able to influence human brains with non-invasive technology.
The experiments on mice are… well… interesting at best and terrifying at worst…

And so, they’re promoting a new bill of rights that humans have the right to free will and not have their brains interfered with, without consent.

Sci-fi? Watch the BBC video.

The scientist estimates 90% will be used positively (treating schitzophrenia, for example). But… yeah… like 10% is real James Bond evil bad-guy stuff.

Literally changing people’s thoughts, what they actually see, feel, etc.
You wouldn’t know if you’re in a police cell beinf tortured or smoking dope on a tropical beach.

The scientist compares this to the human genome research.
I watched it, and I’m not even a technophobe, and I can’t shrug the comparison with the Manhattan project.

It sounds like a whole new can of worms being opened. Especially if you look at the control mechanisms being created and used by governments to engineer society (think of China’s Social Credit System - and then add literal thought control into the equation).

What do you think? Am I just being paranoid? Or do you see a problem on the horizon.

Or did you actually think that at all…

*insert twilight zone theme tune*

I watched it and it was very interesting but...
Scientists always think something is 10 years away 🙄
We were supposed to have flying cars and cities on Mars by now too.

I wouldn't wear any head scanning technology but I can definitely see future generations taking part in it.
