During the second day of the Minnesota GOP’s annual conference in Duluth on Saturday, the state’s Republicans conducted a moment of silence for Derek Chauvin, who is currently serving a prison term of 22 and a half years for the second-degree murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis.
I'm running out of words to describe how morally repugnant Republicans are.

@vivify saidWhat is morally repugnant is that George Floyd was a career criminal, and it is not a surprise that the black community finds him to be a hero. Something is clearly wrong with the mentality of many of the blacks in the US. The black community needs to get their lives out of the gutter, and find decent ones from their community to idolize. Maybe they can start with having a stable family life, stop impregnating 5 women and leaving them as single mothers. In other words fix their own lives and stop blaming the world.

George Floyd's criminal history consists of several arrests and convictions in Texas between 1997 and 2007, primarily for non-violent drug and theft offenses, alongside one conviction for aggravated robbery.
On the day of his murder in May 2020, he was detained by Minneapolis police for the alleged misdemeanor of passing a counterfeit bill.
Prior Convictions and Jail Terms (1997–2007)
According to Texas court and prison records, Floyd served multiple terms in jail and prison for the following offenses:
- Aggravated Robbery with a Firearm (2007): Floyd was arrested for participating in a home invasion robbery in Houston. He pleaded guilty in 2009 to the first-degree felony and was sentenced to five years in prison, serving roughly four years before being paroled in 2013.
- Drug Offenses (2002, 2004, 2005): He was convicted multiple times for less than one gram of cocaine, resulting in sentences ranging from eight to ten months in state jail.
- Theft (1998): He served 10 months in the Harris County jail for a theft offense involving a firearm.
- Minor Offenses (1997–2002): He faced earlier arrests resulting in short jail sentences for criminal trespass, theft, and failure to identify.

You can't make this stuff up.
@Mott-The-Hoople saidYou mean like the white 'tribal' mentality we see every day from this White House?

@AThousandYoung saidI just saw this. Didn't mean to jinx it.
The Republican Party is the party of criminals. They’re not even hiding it.
@moonbus saidNot to get up with the liberal fray,,(weird, all in agreement...). There are videos, ...he had to. be restrained. Chauvin did what trained to do. George, for some time BEFORE he got put down, was doing what he was trained to do.
No moment of silence for George Floyd?
The twain cannot meet.
I can see a fellow officer saying. 'hey Chauvin, he is loaded on drugs !! ,whereupon Chauvin says, what the hell or something. Not exactly a training situation had by Chauvin.
I see no intent any rate, other than doing his job./. Surprised us all, least of which would have been Floyd.....he has been slammed down before.
A LOT of these guys should not be in situations where they get crossed up. Maybe we need to station psychologists around those neighborhoods, near where we give illegals food, for instance,

Minnesota Republicans were publicly praising a convicted killer apparently without a single voice being raised in opposition.
@no1marauder saidA thug with heart disease, full of fentynol, cocaine, marijuana and one other drug…and a good man went to prison based on what a medical examiner determined.
