@Cliff-Mashburn saidThey complain about how the police harass them but aren't around when people need them. They complain about not being able to get loans and jobs.
Please explain why the cities they move into and take over turn into ghettos?
My hometown is a perfect example. It was a wonderful place to grow up in, after the blacks took over, now its considered a ghetto and they are complaining about how they are "forced" to live in such squalid conditions. Conditions that they have caused.
It happens everywhere they go, and not just in America.
Sublime, April 26 1992
'Cause everybody in the hood has had it up to here
It's getting harder and harder and harder each and every year
Some kids went in a store with their mother
I saw her when she came out, she was gettin' some Pampers
They said it was for the black man
They said it was for the Mexican, and not for the white man
But if you look at the streets, it wasn't about Rodney King
It's this f'd up situation and these f'd up police

Is anyone else sick of making excuses for these people and pretending that this behavior is some sort of outlier?
Because the police don't respond when violence happens in Black neighborhoods. When they do show up they kill the Black people who called them!

What we know about the deputy charged with killing Sonya Massey in her home after she called 911 for help
@AThousandYoung saidNO, when the police do show up the black residents attack them.

If the police DID make arrests, you'd just cry that they were being racist.

@Cliff-Mashburn saidDid you realize that 'Los Angeles County is the most populous county in the United States, with 9,663,345 residents estimated in 2023. Its population is greater than that of 40 individual U.S. states'? 😆
Yeah...here's my old high school during lunch in 2009.

I admit - I don't like LA at all. It seems unnatural to build a major city in an area with no water.
Los Angeles averages only 14.7 inches of precipitation per year. By way of comparison, here in Raleigh, NC we average 45 inches per year. In the absolute WORST years since 1887 ( 1921, 25, 33) NC still got 29 inches+ or DOUBLE what LA gets on average. That is simply mind boggling. 😆
I once had a job offer to work in Camarillo but I couldn't wrap my head around living out there. 😆
@AThousandYoung saidIt wouldn't be so charming or peaceful if a white kid was on the playground..
Actually it IS pretty charming. Those boys are just playing basketball very peacefully and skillfully.
Would you send your kid there?
Be honest.
Here's an Inglewood elementary school...not so charming or peaceful for the little girl that isn't black.
@Cliff-Mashburn I said I was going to explain it to you. 😆
Ah ha. LA City vs LA County. Long history of animosity, annexation, separation.
In the 1970's desegregation hit in earnest. But before we do demographics, let's follow the money on the "City vs County" thing 2025-26.
Los Angeles City: $13.9 billion budget for fiscal year (pop 3.8 million)
LA County: $47.9 Billion (pop 6.2 million)
Oh my lord. Look at that boundary between LA city and LA County! Now that's EXTREME gerrymandering! Gerrymandering, in general, is a Very Bad Thing. But y'all have turned it into an art form...
So LA has the same basic problem as Cincinnati: "Lack of Unigov." The city and county governments have not been combined. Instead, rich communities within the county have effectively walled or shaved themselves off, leaving poorer areas, in some cases, to ghetto-ize. 😆
Now to demographics...
