I can't remember any scene I would put under pornographic and I would be appalled if there was child pornography. (Since I read in German it is possible, though highly improbably that the scene was cut in the translation)

But if it's a book describing the sexual abuse of boys in the 19th century, then it's perfectly within most people's values.
The same if it's a novel from the 18th century, set in Roman times.
Indeed, you'd have to define pornography to get to the root of your statement. There are many books which, reasonably explicitly, detail the sexual abuse of one of the child characters. Is that child pornography? Anne Rice has a novel about singers, set hundreds of years ago. Are you going to ban that???
