@wajoma saidRalph committed the offense he apologized for.
@no1marauder
Never apologise for something that did not occur.
Ralph apologises when he shouldn't have. Sopranos.

@beowulf saidAccording to Sesame Place, that person wanted to hand the character a baby to take a picture with:
So no Democrats or Leftist wannabes is going to comment on the character saying no to the white adult?
Sad really...
"They added that the “no” hand gesture seen several times on the video was not directed to any specific person but rather a response to multiple requests from someone who wanted their child to take a photo with Rosita, which is not allowed."

While that makes sense, the claim that the character didn't see the two black girls is unbelievable for reasons anyone who glances at the video well knows.
@no1marauder
Have you ever worn a costume like that?
Have any of you?
You can't see shyt in those things. 🤷
@beowulf saidHave you?

@athousandyoung saidAha, Ralph did not apologise, he offered to apologise.
Ralph committed the offense he apologized for.
;^P
@beowulf saidThe character could see well enough to slap hands with and hug a few folks plus see that another person was trying to hand him a baby.

But he couldn't see a foot in front of him where two little girls were?
BS.
@no1marauder saidjust gotta be doesnt it?

@no1marauder saidThis is getting ridiculous, Unrestricted humans have decent peripheral vision, looking through a horizontal slot you might catch movement out of the corner of your eye up to nearly 180 degrees but vertically you'd not see anything above or below.

And again, you've assumed the race of the person in the costume as being what?

@wajoma saidYes you are getting ridiculous.

The character is within a foot of the girls and makes a hand gesture clearly directed towards them. He/she isn't blundering along blindly but is interacting with the crowd they can't see according to you.
Have no idea what "race" the person in the costume is but he/she obviously treated these young black girls in a contemptuous manner and the Sesame Place explanation is BS that only someone as dumb as you or as racist as some other of our posters would accept.
@no1marauder saidYes, the SP explanation is BS. No argument.
Funny, that's not the excuse Sesame Place came up with:
"In an initial statement Sunday, Sesame Place said the park and its employees stand for “inclusivity and equality in all forms.” The statement also noted that performers sometimes miss requests for hugs because the costumes they wear make it difficult to see at lower levels.
“The Rosita performer did not intent ...[text shortened]... y is; the character is looking right at the girls and shaking his hand a foot or two away from them.
I've seen multiple people Tweet about the policy of not interacting with people crossing the yellow line; I didn't invent it.
If that was the real explanation, of course SP has to make up a bogus alibi. If they say "we punished the 2 little black girls for crossing the yellow line" they get crucified on a hundred different fronts. They have no choice but to half-poligize and make up a flimsy alibi.
That seems a far more likely explanation than that the character in a parade suit in a Philadelphia theme park (a city which is half black) and whose job is to interact with kids, is so racist that s/he blows off 2 little black kids just because they're black.
@no1marauder saidThe dumb one is the person that immediately jumps to the 'racism' conclusion. Even if the person wearing the costume were a non-black racist (let's not even explore the possibility of them being mixed race) do you think in the capacity of their job which is basically getting their picture taken they'd be so blatant about it, that no one would notice the 8ft cartoon character putting the black kids in their place. There is a totally innocent explanation for this, what is news worthy, what does warrant observation, is the reaction by the hypersensitive paranoid crybabies.
Yes you are getting ridiculous.

As with so many of these situations play out the scenario, picture the person applying for the job knowing full well they'd have to interact with kids of all races, but they took on the job anyway so they could shoosh away black kids.
I can only assume you're bored, looking for attention and think being a contrarian with fill the space.
