23 million North Koreans are forced to live an insane existence because of this psychopath.

Same principle in Myanmar and Zimbabwe and Cuba.

Why do we allow it to go on?

Who is "we" and is it "our" duty to change the situation?

'We' is those of us not living in those countries.

I'll turn the question back on you -- when people are being grievously harmed but there is no law to protect them -- what is your duty?

If was the case that "we" had to go in and oust every dictator or horrible political regime then how many countries would we be invading? How many countries are committing much worse crimes like genocide? The UN should by law intervene in countries that commit genocide, but then the UN now just calls it "ethnic cleansing". Where do we begin, where do we draw the line? Is invasion the only option?
My duty is to elect people that benefit my country and hopefully the world as best they can. And to be active in making my local surroundings better for me and others. I'm not into a world police organization at the moment.
