Americans are not very happy with their political parties.
On one hand you have the Republican party, formerly led by Donald Trump and maybe so in 2024. Trump tells a lot of whoppers — and that’s saying a lot, even for a career politician. Indeed, a Washington Post fact-checker credited Trump for telling 30,573 lies over the course of his presidency. This, and the right wing's traditional distain for the working class and the environment isn't scoring them many points with voters.
And as for the Democrats, American are not very pleased with them, either. After viewing the nationwide riots last year, seeing their slap-on-the-wrist responses to violent protesters, seeing liberal celebrities bailing out these lawbreakers from prison, seeing Joe Biden’s silence during the riots in an election year, — this was all shameful behavior as well. This, and the left's simpering allegiance to political correctness isn't helping their cause.
So - before either side starts throwing stones at the other, they would do well to take a long, hard look in the mirror, because what they'll see isn't very pretty. π

@mchill saidThis sounds to me like a slithering away from some realization that things are not going too well for dems, you are trying to meld everything all together. Not gonna fly. This is all your baby, Dems.

Gotta hit the slopes! At least we have great snow to smile about!
@contenchess saidNotice that you never see anyone wearing a "Build Back Better" hat?
This administration is a failure.
Even the democrats are starting to have buyer's remorse π
Let's go Brandon!!
@dood111 saidIf somebody had said 30,000 plus or minus 1000, I would get the point.
Do you really believe some guy went through everything Trump said on a daily basis for four years and counted 30,000 individual lies?
Wonder how many lies Biden has told over the same period if the fact checker did the same thing?
Or how about his 50 years in politics?
A million?
Trump lies like it is a bodily function.
But when I see 30,573 I more tend to think that somebody out there needs to get a life.
But yes, Trump is a proven liar.
But more importantly, a dangerous one.
I'm not talking about something like "my grandma bench pressed 200 pounds once".
More about stuff that has consequences at the national and international level.
@mchill saidYou realize there was a massive riot on the Capitol building that Republicans are actively covering up as we speak, right? Except there is continual proof that the Republican party, unlike Democrats, actually planned, organized and encouraged the riot.
And as for the Democrats, American are not very pleased with them, either. After viewing the nationwide riots last year, seeing their slap-on-the-wrist responses to violent protesters, seeing liberal celebrities bailing out these lawbreakers from prison, seeing Joe Biden’s silence during the riots
I don't know where you get the idea that Americans are mad about alleged Dem silence on riots when Republicans are actively voting to kill even having Jan 6th investigated.
The two-party system in America is broken. Neither party will publicly acknowledge that the other party represents legitimate interests.
The best thing which could happen before the next presidential campaign would be for the Republican Party to split into two parties: sane conservatives, and Trump toadies. The Democrats and sane conservatives could form a coalition to return the country to a functioning republic.
@moonbus
And the demotards can break up into two groups too..
The moderates and the leftist psychos
@contenchess saidYah… you sound completely normal.
