Pretty much what I've been saying all along...no1, I'll be waiting for your apology.

More whistleblowers will emerge shortly in the escalating Benghazi scandal, according to two former U.S. diplomats who spoke with PJ Media Monday afternoon.

These whistleblowers, colleagues of the former diplomats, are currently securing legal counsel because they work in areas not fully protected by the Whistleblower law.

According to the diplomats, what these whistleblowers will say will be at least as explosive as what we have already learned about the scandal, including details about what really transpired in Benghazi that are potentially devastating to both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

The former diplomats inform PJM the new revelations concentrate in two areas — what Ambassador Chris Stevens was actually doing in Benghazi and the pressure put on General Carter Ham, then in command of U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) and therefore responsible for Libya, not to act to protect jeopardized U.S. personnel.

Stevens’ mission in Benghazi, they will say, was to buy back Stinger missiles from al-Qaeda groups issued to them by the State Department, not by the CIA. Such a mission would usually be a CIA effort, but the intelligence agency had opposed the idea because of the high risk involved in arming “insurgents” with powerful weapons that endanger civilian aircraft.

Hillary Clinton still wanted to proceed because, in part, as one of the diplomats said, she wanted “to overthrow Gaddafi on the cheap.”

This left Stevens in the position of having to clean up the scandalous enterprise when it became clear that the “insurgents” actually were al-Qaeda – indeed, in the view of one of the diplomats, the same group that attacked the consulate and ended up killing Stevens.

No link? Where's this from: amren?

First, if it's a State Department op, how come 23 of the 30 people evacuated from Benghazi were CIA?

Second, Ansar Al-Shariah isn't Al Qaeda though right wingers seem to think that any Muslim extremist group is.

The lack of knowledge of right wingers is pitiful. The same mistakes are made over and over and over again; in the Cold War era it was just assumed that Chinese Communists were under the control of Soviet Communists because .......... well, they're "communists". The same thing is going on now regarding the confusion between global jihadists like AQ and local Muslim extremist pursuing limited agendas like Ansar Al-Shariah.

They blasted two US diplomatic facilities and killed four Americans, including an ambassador. Forgive me if I don't invest the time parsing the (infinitesmal) differences in their ideological agendas.

Silly Wabbit. He wasn't confusing jihadist groups, but US ops that you mentioned in your last post.

The question of whether the whistle blowers were State or CIA seems not as important as what they know about the attack on the embassy, and the possibility of defending it and saving the staff.

Plus, your habit of labeling anyone who disagrees with you as "right wingers" is tiring.
