Support for a democratic, if corrupt regime, against a military coup by an undemocratic authoritarian military cabal is not election interference.
The independence of half of Europe depended on that military coup being foiled.
You can bleat and compare historical rights and wrongs untill you’re blue in the face but right now the expansionist plans of the Kremlin must be resisted and will be resisted with or without the US.

BTW the criminal court in The Hague is not going to have to rely on Putin admitting to be a war criminal before they find him guilty, there are a lot if murderers on death row who still haven’t admitted their crime, keep lying if you want but stop being stupid
