    @AverageJoe1

Usually the sensationalist right-wing press is just trying to whip up their base. Turns out, they just applied too late in the year.

"L.A.W. [a studnet] and her mother met with Creekside Principal Amy Allison twice in February about the club, but Allison claimed that all the funding for school clubs was allocated in October, so the club would not be allowed to meet.

An LGBTQ Pride club, however, was launched and promoted by teachers just a week before L.A.W. met with the principal.

Allison told L.A.W. that her only option for the prayer club was to pay for space like outside groups."

"As you may already know, clubs offered are student-interest driven and meet outside of the school day. At the elementary level, participation in a club also requires parent permission," the spokesperson explained. "Once the school year begins, the building budget is set, and additional clubs are usually not added until the following school year."

Spruce says don't do a workaround, i,e., fuque 'em.
Fun to imagine you faeiries if it were reversed and the Queer Pride group would be storming the school. Those gay signs, they'd have to drag tjhem out of the garages, if they have garages , and change the wording. I doubt they have garages at 20 hours a week, though.

    "Spruce says..."
"the Queer Pride group would be storming the school..."

    Except spruce112358 DID NOT say...
And the Queer Pride group DID NOT storm the school...

Do you really think you are such an expert in what other people think and/or will do?

Why not stick to what YOU think? 🙂

First, queer is defined ‘strange and odd’.
I did not say any such thing. It is I who said “that group would be storming the school”. You did indeed imply by not doing anything to help faith-based child, that you see no interest in trying to make her program work out. That means you do not suggest a workaround. Yes I can say that about your opinions.” . And it follows that I do not pretend to know what you are thinking. So this whole post is a waste of ink in my computer again.
But don’t worry , I’m not upset that you misrepresented my statements. I’m pretty easy about who hears what on this forum. Even if it is slander.!

You need to read my very clear post, next to your very unclear response, and try to respond in coherent wording to my post.

You say that although the prayer group applied too late, they should be granted an exception BECAUSE if the Queer Pride group had applied too late and were denied they would 'storm the school' which would result in them getting an exception.

    Right?

It seems like a very tenuous argument.

That could be explained by his tenuous mind.

I’m a realist, I see it for what it is.
I also see you supporting the gay pride movement. Do you support any effect they may have on my children?

What’s so bad about average Joe? Could it be that he thinks that some people need to leave other people alone? Could it be that he thinks that if some people work harder than others, that the ones that do not work hard should share in the wealth of the people that work harder than they do?
One of my favorite things on the forum is to ask the simplest questions I can think of, which liberals simply cannot answer. And that’s about all I’ve got to say about that.

How do you think the gay pride movement is going to affect your children?

Individuals within the gay pride movement are free to do as they please as long as they don't harm, impose on, or place others at risk without consent.

This is exactly the same freedom enjoyed by any other individual - and supporting the freedom of all individuals is something I support - gay or otherwise.

Taken off internet, I coulda written it. Wasn't about to 'create' a post like this, as it would be like if you asked me to explain why it is bad to allow illegal immigrants to come into our country. It is easily found all over the internet.

No need to respond. You like to stir the shyte, don;t you. You are aware I am sure that you are all easy pickins'. Starting with Sueman who never writes a coherent or relevant post. Anyway, my latest pickin. Write some more, sugesting gopvt buy the food of parasites!!!

"As a straight person who has friends who are gay**, if I had children, I would not bring them to a Pride parade. Pride parades have some pretty X-rated themes and images that I don’t think kids should be exposed to. And those images don’t have anything to do with how the average gay person lives, or their desire to be treated with dignity. In many cases, it is about the participants wanting to be provocative. And that’s fine if they want to do that, but that doesn’t mean that is appropriate for children.

Having oiled up buff men parading down the street half naked with phallic images on display has nothing to do with the message of accepting people who are gay any more than showing porn films with heterosexual couples and women dressed as hookers has anything to do with straight relationships. It is exhibitionist behavior. Most gay folks don’t act that way in real life—they have jobs, partners, and normal family lives. They don’t prance around in chains and leather half naked waving pictures of penises around—-they are normal folk who act like anyone else. Why would I want my child to see an image that isn’t an accurate portrayal of what most gay people live like?

**. I swear, on all that is holy, I spent about two hours having cocktails tonight, with a gay couple, regular friends, watched the Masters. I'm killing you.

Kids are more immune to that sort of thing than you think.

When we lived in Vienna, we took the kids to ride their bikes along the Donau towards the Lobau but little did we know it, the path crossed a nudist area. So my 8 yo daughter is pedaling along furiously when this totally nude guy strides up out of the bushes to cross her path. Well she doesn't even hesitate - just weaves around him and keeps on going.

Then there was the time we went to do whale-watching out of Provincetown, Mass. Little did we know it was also 'Bear Week'. Hoo boy. I did not know which way to look - up down or sideways - to keep from making eye contact. But the kids were completely unfazed. I don't even think they noticed at all!

Saw some nice whales (stop it!) out over the Stellwagen Bank!

Speaking of whales, did you see the paper saying they have started conversing with whales? My guess is AI will help out really communicating with them. Wouldn't that be a hoot. Millions of years of whale logic, stories, philosophy and such. We humans might, I say MIGHT even learn something from them.......

    YouTube

It's funny, they are talking about putting hydrophones on the bottom of the ocean to record whale sounds.
I had a job once at a place called AUTEC, Atlantic Underwater Test Center. This is on Andros Island in the Bahamas. What a sweet job!

The reason for the existence of AUTEC is what is called TOTO, Tongue of the Ocean,
an underwater canyon about 150 Km long by about 50 Km wide and 8000 feet deep,
FILLED with hydrophones in specific patterns on the floor and more on strings every ten feet or so top to bottom, hundreds of hydrophones, the reason is to test weapons like torpedos and such which would have a pinger in it and the idea was to program that device to do say 100 meters straight up, 200 meters same depth, a nice curved path and we saw the result is 3D projected on graph board monitors.

The great part of my job, which was maintaining those monitors and microwave communications equipment, but after work there is a sound board where you can switch in any one of those hydrophones and put the audio through an amp and speaker. The sounds produced were incredible, alien sounding, whoops and whistles and such, awesome sounds. I would sit at that board for hours listening to the whale sounds and dolphins. And to think they are now making some headway to actually communicating with them, totally awesome.
