@chaney3 saidSo....... this is not the debate forum.
Should be about Trump or Biden.
Or libs and Dems, or whatever.
Isn't there anything else in life to debate other than this???
Feel free to post a topic, other than politics to discuss.
Somebody had to say it, and it's me.
It's the Trump and Biden forum?
Boring...... boring!!!!!
@booger saidNot true.
@chaney3
You should make a thread then.
This one you just made is already about Trump and Biden and you did that yourself.
From what I have been reading here, no matter what a particular thread is about, it always reverts back to Trump, Biden, libs and Dems.
It's boring shiiit!!!!!!

This is REALLy off the wall couldn't get an answer in Science forum. To entertain myself while walking, I search podcasts for extraneous stuff,,,tried flat earth society. The people there never actually explain any basic beliefs, like, where is the 'edge' of this flat board. They talk on ad nauseam, and I will not make light of their brainyism, but they ramble on with phrases and comments, as if the listener is already 'in' on the concept.
So, I don't know what they think because they won't tell me. I could scream.
Silos are the enemy of rational discussion and debate. One thing I have observed about American forum posters is that almost all seem to have only cherry-picked a few things they don't like about "the other side" and totally ignore a whole lot of good stuff. All cultures do this to some extent but American posters are the absolute experts at holding blinkered viewpoints to the point of obliterating common sense.
Technology has steadily obliterated the traditional lower-end jobs, to the point where only those born with opportunities can acquire enough to have a decent life. The others are simply exploited. A few manage to overcome their handicaps but they're the exceptions. It seems that those who do manage to climb the ladder try to pull it up behind them. Eventually the "losers" choose between starvation, drug addicted oblivion or crime.
If you don't want to live among homeless addicts or violent robbers, what should a society do?
@booger saidYour problem is your black/ white mentality.
@Kewpie
But But globalisation and immigration are good things!
Why would cities and society be declining?
Good, bad, evil… great terms in Hollywood movies and propaganda, but very far from the truth when it comes to reality.
Politics is about weighing up differences. Becauss immigration and goobalisation (to use as examples) have both positive and negative effects.
And generally some political parties will prefer some effects over others when considering other effects taking place at the same time.
So, for example, if there are not enough labourers, the chances of political parties being pro-immigration are higher.
It’s also the reason why political views change within a party. Every choice you make is relative to the situation a country finds itself in; and within context of international developements.
For example: international treaties.
These can add water to the wine of choices. But also bolster choices (think global warming issues).
The first thing to realise is that “good” and “bad” are propaganda mechanisms and have no bearing on political realities.
Once you realise this, you step away from the disasterous polarisations and the mockery of fellow debaters.
@shavixmir said'goobalisation' I like it shag doody, it's an extension of goobermint.

Mind if I use it. Did you hear it somewhere, or are we about to coin a new more accurate rechristening of 'globalisation'.
