I'd be all in, for closing ALL 'charter schools' and returning the job of teaching our kids back to the Department of Education. This is a not-for-profit government agency charged with the education of our kids in America. Instead, Corporate America has decided that for-profit, conservative-agenda schools to be the way to go. Take that money (which never seems to make it to things that can improve the education of kids) out of the pockets of corporate CEOs and back to the Department of Education where it belongs. For too long, Congress has shafted the kids'ability to be properly educated, instead preferring indoctrination, to raise an entire generation of kids who follow demagogues and authoritarians and get them elected. This is NOT for America's benefit, but to its detriment and for the wallets of Corporations wanting to insure a stupid, conservative base for authoritarians to mold into their own criminal image for generations to come. We cannot fight off dictators like Trump without removing the very school mills pumping out kids who are uneducated to keep the electorate stupid.
And don't get me started on whites keeping the minorities down by this very same method.

The children are temporarily learning from home because of a storm that migrant tents couldn't handle. The migrants were moved to NYC schools as shelter.
Kids aren't being "pushed out", just temporarily schooling from home.
