The big Aviation News is that thanks to Mr Trump there have been no deaths in 2017.

You can never rest on your laurels with air safety, as that last quoted example demonstrates. But just because you own a plane, doesn't mean you understand the complex processes in place that have led to a steady decline in flying accidents.
