The thing is, the world is too big, you know:

- Ukraine is threatening to cut gas supply for Europe
- Colombia is heading to a war with its neighbors
- Germany's airports were hit by a strike
- Gordon Brown is facing a key EU referendum
- Russia has a new leader
- Kenya is trying to rebuild ...[text shortened]... difference in the world.

Then again, I may be just annoying you for the fun, amigo.

You are right...

Sorry... stupid me, third world peasant resident in the heaven-forgotten, second class & poor Finland.

Damn it!

I wish so bad I could live in Springfield, Ohio, the belly button of the world.

The longer this goes on, the better it is for the Dems, as McCain slowly becomes an after thought
Gee thats what the liberal 'talking heads ' and others are saying. If its a contentious Convention for the Democrats, I don't seeing it as being good. But we shall see. Plus McCain has time to attack both Hillary and Obama, gather headlines with talk of his VP pick, gather money for the campaign and whatever else. I don't think he is going to fade to an after thought.

I still don't support him and won't vote for him. Something will have to change for him or any of them to gain my vote. Looking off to 2012 (smiles) Focusing on getting the conservatives elected in Texas .... and doing what I can to fight illegal immigrants.... and that whole issue.

Which country are we talking about?

Sorry, neither the thread title nor the post mention anything about which country's politics are we discussing.

World is big, you know.
Hillary [Clinton] and [Barack] Obama are running for president of America... A-MER-I-CA... It's that big rich country between Mexico and Canada. We speak English and walk around chanting USA...USA....

You know... America... God blesses us... 🙂

America goes from Canada all the way down to Chile.

America is a continent.

I guess you mean the U.S.A., which is only a tiny part of the continent.

Fortunately, I did not go to school in the U.S. until graduate level.

You did, it seems, so it would be good to go back for a new run, dude.

North America and South America are as different continents as North Europe is different from Southern Europe, or Northern Africa from Southern Africa. There is a continuous land from Canada until Chile,
no doubt about it. So, it is a continent, the whole thing.

However, if we apply your critera, then you would hate to know that your beloved North America is formed by Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.

Oh no! No! Please, no! Not Mexico in my own yard! Noooooooo!

Bring me that chili! My sister and I are leaving on my big truck!

Unfortunately Europe is only one continent but luckily its attached to Asia.
The we have Africa, South America, North America, Australia and Antartica

Northern and Southern Europe are more political/regional divisions least thats what they taught us in elementary school here is the US... maybe they teach you something different in the college you went to in the continent of Europe

But this is off topic......

It is not off topic, I think.

The underlying issue here (and it is a very nice debate), is that the
U.S. election is not the world's most important issue. By far it is
mildly relevant.

What will change for the world depending on who wins?

let's hear it from you.

Edit. I did my college more close to your home town than you can ever imagine 😉

I love arguments over semantics, they mean so much to everyone. About as nice as spelling corrections.
