“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.”- Senator Obama’s March 16, 2006 speech on the Senator floor

These sentiments are basically what the Tea Party has been saying all along. And this is how the Obamanites respond to their like minded, patriotic fellow citizens....

Vice President Joe Biden joined House Democrats in lashing tea party Republicans Monday, accusing them of having “acted like terrorists” in the fight over raising the nation’s debt limit, according to several sources in the room.

Biden was agreeing with a line of argument made by Rep. Mike Doyle (D-Pa.) at a two-hour, closed-door Democratic Caucus meeting.

“We have negotiated with terrorists,” an angry Doyle said, according to sources in the room. “This small group of terrorists have made it impossible to spend any money.”

Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) called it a “Satan sandwich,” and Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.) called seemed to enjoy the heat analogy, saying: “the Tea Partiers and the GOP have made their slash and burn lunacy clear, and while I do not love this compromise, my vote is a hose to stop the burning. The arsonists must be stopped.

Biden told Democratic lawmakers that the deal would take away the tea party’s “weapon of mass destruction” — the threat of a default on U.S. debt obligations.

“They have no compunction about blowing up the economy to get what they want,” Doyle told POLITICO after the meeting.

The hypocrisy ,unprofessional -ism , and dishonesty coming from The Obamination and his cronies is astounding. They are digging their own political graves.

A Satan sandwich? This has to be my personal favorite. As for myself, I'll take some Assad fries and ahmadinejad drink to go with that Luciferian sandwich!! 😵

You're getting your cuts which will depress the economy even further, and possibly even aggravate the deficit for lack of revenues. Gazillionaires still get a windfall on taxes. Poor people will lose even more benefits. We move one step closer to a banana republic.

Let me get this straight. His opponents demand that Obama changes his position. Call for compromise on his part. Implore him to reconsider. Demand that he heed the wishes of the electorate. And then, when he does - BOING - out come the 5 year old quotes and the accusations of hypocrisy and lying?

Just ignore Uther. He is the demonic tomato on the Satanic sandwich. I, on the other hand, am the harmless warlock pickle on top. 😵

It's a legitimate point, though. Politicians use the debt ceiling for grandstanding all the time. One group votes against it one time, the next time it comes up the other group votes against it. It's sickening. Now they've got some people in congress who are actually serious about something and not just running their mouths and they don't know how to act. It's pretty hilarious, actually.

Wxactly. A great win for the traitorous GOP. The faster wemove to an oligarchy of wealthy leaders, the better for them.

Picture a GOP Tea Party looney kneeling on an impovershised minority as he sucks off his favorite hedge fund manager.
