maybe I was wrong about Obama.
I wish him luck, and I hope he'll fix the country.

I bet a bottle of 1996 Perrier Jouet champagne that America could not elect a women or a non-white. I am incredibly impressed with what the American people have done today regardless of whether Obama is the right man for the job or not. I think America opened a lot of eyes today and has made a lot of friends.
It is refreshing to see a representative of the US who appears intelligent, inclusive, dignified and statesmanlike.
I hope he will make you proud.

Well, done. The world expects great things.
Most of the world hasn't read a line of his blueprint for change. As someone who has read it, I expect him to be much better than his predecessor, but I don't expect "great things".
That said, I hope he actually does these great things and wish him all the best. 🙂

America has shown that it can recognise right from wrong but it is yet
to show humility.
...and thus give time the satisfaction and save a handle for detraction.
edit. You're terribly welcome to contradict me if you want.

With that being said, with all I have read this morning, I can only hope the Obama supporters would have been as humble as McCain supporters on this site had Obama lost.
