He's left handed. That may have something to do with it.

At the end of his signature he makes an exagerated line to the right. I'm left
handed and this is singularly the most difficult stroke to make regardless of how
you hold your pen. It means you have no control over where the pen goes and
more often than not it looks terrible.
Only a small detail but a very strange characteristic for a signature.
