Be somebody. Write about the crux of our leaders and where we are headed. Factual comments welcomed. Wasted Sue-like comments are yawners, and wasted.
Maybe SHouse could regale us how Biden will’save our Democracy, whatever that means, and then WJoma can regale us how Trump will save our democracy, whatever that means .

Haha, posting those quotes reminded me of a regular thread I used to start called "Quote War" the idea was to debate only using famous quotes, the proceeding quote to follow on in someway relevant to the preceding post. Never lasted long, the control freaks don't have anything without resorting to Stalin, Hitler and Pol Pot.

He is speaking to the lie of 'public service' the lie that pollies tell people they're doing what they're doing out of some concern for the greater good, that it's a sacrifice, that it's for your own good, that they are saving humanity. To you and I it's obvious, but there are many that believe that lie and even a couple of pollies that try to maintain that lie unto themselves.
Re the school board. You'll find that the position largely goes uncontested precisely for the reason there is not much power to be wielded from the position but most importantly, privatise all education so that those that participate do so voluntarily.
I will not be attempting to re-write Mencken, flip open one of his books at random, you'll be blown away by a succinct, relevant to this day point, written in language that I'm unable to find adequate adjectives to describe. While there are posters here like suziman who can only speak in cliché's, cliché' was an absolute anathema to Mencken.

The guy in charge is indeed there to save the humanity of the people in the room. He is indeed sacrificing his time out of concern. He is not ‘lying’. You are poisoning minds like that of HerSuzy.
