A new pill may be in the works for guys: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15937201/wid/11915773?GT1=8717
"Nov. 28: British scientists have developed a single-dose male contraceptive pill that can be taken just before a date. They say it does not cause any side effects. NBC's Dawna Friesen reports."
"The pill, a single dose taken a few hours before having sex, affects contraction of the muscles that control ejaculation, but wouldn't interfere with performance or orgasm sensation, researchers at King's College London say. The result is a dry ejaculation."
Would you take it?

One question though: What is a "dry ejaculation"? What good is sex if there's no mess to clean up afterwards?
Originally posted by DoctorDaraProbably not. If the person in question is a regular partner then we'd use a more long term form of contraception. If they aren't a regular partner then as Darvlay observed the issue isn't just the possibility of issue, but also the possibility of contracting anything from N.S.U. to H.I.V.. For one night stands condoms are the most sensible.

Also, it's not clear to me that this is any good for women - while I agree that women shouldn't bear all the medical risks of chemical contraception, they do have to bear all the medical risks of pregnancy and as my ex used to put it: "I wouldn't trust a boy to remember to take it."

It can also occur from going too many rounds in one night where the guy doesn't have any fluid left. This is supposed to be painful.

Do you trust the man to remember? Or will you "trust, but verify"...?
Originally posted by spruce112358I'd trust the guy. I mean how many guys actually want to get a girl pregnant in general? At least I have yet to meet a guy who while dating a girl sabotaged her pills/the condom so he could get her pregnant forcing her to marry him. But then maybe I'm just alone in that.
Sure.
