start here, and if truly interested, look for more links, they are there,, oh the head of the ATF has stepped down.....
Documents released by the Issa panel make it clear that Operation Fast and Furious was well-known and enthusiastically supported at the highest leveIs of ATF. That means the program had to have been supported elsewhere within the Justice Department. Thus, it is inconceivable that Holder did not know about Operation Fast and Furious. But even if he didn't know, he clearly should have. Either way, Wednesday's hearing provided the latest evidence that it's past time for Holder to go.

here are two sources pointing fingers,, alot of mexican politicians are asking,, WTF?
as they should, since these guns are used to kill their policemen.
The LA Times articles is unconvincing.
Three White House national security officials were given some details about the operation, dubbed Fast and Furious...
The emails validate what has been said previously, which is no one at the White House knew about the investigative tactics being used in the operation, let alone any decision to let guns walk," said the official, who was not authorized to speak about it publicly. "To the extent that some [national security staff members] were briefed on the top lines of ongoing federal efforts, so were members of Congress."
The Washington Examiner article is interesting.
four ATF agents testified before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee and squarely contradicted a Feb. 4, 2011, claim by a department spokesman that DOJ did not approve of the program...
The agents testified that Assistant U.S. Attorney Emory Hurley, a Phoenix-based appointee of President Obama, "orchestrated" Operation Fast and Furious. ATF Phoenix field office supervisor Peter Forcelli, for example, told the committee: "I have read documents that indicate that his boss, U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke, also agreed with the direction of the case."
I wonder why this only happened in Arizona?

The Acting Director of the ATF has told congressional investigators that the Justice Department is attempting to shift blame in Operation Fast and Furious away from its political appointees," said Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA). The appointees allegedly being protected include Attorney General Eric Holder who continues to deny knowing about Operation Fast and Furious.
Once again, if Holder knew about this, should he resign, if he didn't...... why not? One would think that something involving weapons going to another country would be on the top of his list?
Originally posted by AThousandYoungI wonder, did Janet Reno resign after she had all those people killed in Waco??
Probably because the folks at Waco were insane, violent cultists.
That spilled over, and brought out Timothy McVeigh, and we know what he did... and the wheels on the bus go round and round.......
