Orban even has his own version of Jared Kushner, a guy Orban got GREAT business contracts like the one where Hungary applied to EU for streetlights but Orban set it up so any city wanting streetlights, only one company can do it and that company was just started a few days earlier with zero experience with street lighting but just like Jarhead, he is now worth over a half BILLION and moved to the US.
Meanwhile, Orban will now be under investigation for guess what? CORRUPTION.
Who would have known? ORBAN CORRUPT? SAY IT ISN'T SO..............
Perfect example as to why I say, go Libertarian. The fewer of these damm giveaway programs,
the less corruption you can have. People must think that these Pols set these 'benevolent' giveaway
programs up to help the people. Jeezus people, LEARN.
I'm convinced corruption will exist every place that your government opens up a giveaway project. Bastids.

"All the uncaring, none of the blame."
@Earl-of-Trumps saidThe solution is dead simple: 1. Mandatory total financial disclosure of all politicians and candidates for public office, no exceptions. 2. Robust legal mechanisms to investigate and prosecute transgressions.

Guess which two items Trump has steadfastly refused?
@Earl-of-Trumps saidStreetlighting shouldn't be considered to be a "giveaway" but necessary infrastructure.

In Germany these type of project would be sitting with the communes and there would be not a single entrepreneur doing them all.
@Ponderable saidSpot on.

@Earl-of-Trumps saidYou're an idiot.
What you call "caring" we call a license to enslave.
And that is what it is with liberal people, right...? you get to control people and take their wealth.
The only people being enslaved in this country are the not-rich.
You're just a cheerleader for those doing the enslaving.
Day by day, it's getting harder and harder to "just get by".
This is turning into a dystopian country and sadly, you're one of the ones standing back yelling, "YEEAAH!" Clearly you support the enslavement of the People. We're sliding into fascism and you just don't give a damn, pretending in your wildest fantasies that it is the downtrodden YOU claim are bringing this on. Disgusting.

No problem with this. yes, it should be mandatory, but the rich elite claims it 'unfairly prevents them from representing the people'. As long as it stayed financial, I have no problem with this. But the right thinks they have to 'expose' every liberal thing anyone has done, embarrassing people for nothing, just because they don't like it.
"2. Robust legal mechanisms to investigate and prosecute transgressions."
Yes, but, as always, which "transgressions"? REAL transgressions? Or fanciful BS 'transgressions' that someone on the right just made up? Trying to extort America? Creating a war out of thin air? Or something like showing up to vote with no ID? Being homosexual?
(I know, I get it. I'm not trying to bust your chops here. But you know that if we did indeed have 'rules' like that, they would never survive the next Republican president.)
@Suzianne saidWhich transgressions? Receiving emoluments from foreign powers, for starters. Like golden jets. Or sending one‘s son-in-law to Saudi Arabia and he returns 2 billion dollars richer yet no one in Congress even bothered to ask what he did there.
