@AThousandYoung saidThe region has a rich history: Greeks, Arabs, Franks, Christians, Egyptians, Jews - you name it. 😆
Who do you think "the people who have lived in that area for the past 2 millennia" are?
But as was pointed out by the King-Crane Commission, the Zionist Invasion was against the wishes of about 90% of the people living there at that moment which is the relevant measure. The American Commissioners in 1919, King and Crane, were much less biased re: the Middle East than Americans are today. 😆
“If that principle is to rule, and so the wishes of Palestine’s population are to be decisive as to what is to be done with Palestine, then it is to be remembered that the non-Jewish population of Palestine – nearly nine-tenths of the whole – are emphatically against the entire Zionist programme. The tables show that there was no one thing upon which the population of Palestine were more agreed than upon this."
"To subject a people so minded to unlimited Jewish immigration, and to steady financial and social pressure to surrender the land, would be a gross violation of the principle just quoted, and of the peoples’ rights though it kept within the forms of law;…"
“The Peace Conference should not shut its eyes to the fact that the anti-Zionist feeling in Palestine and Syria is intense and not lightly to be flouted. No British Officer consulted by the Commissioners believed that the Zionist programme could be carried out except by force of arms. The officers generally thought that a force of not less than 50,000 soldiers would be required even to initiate the programme. That of itself is evidence of a strong sense of the injustice of the Zionist programme, on the part of the non-Jewish populations of Palestine and Syria. Decisions, requiring armies to carry out, are sometimes necessary, but they are surely not gratuitously to be taken in the interests of a serious injustice. For the initial claim, often submitted by Zionist representatives, that they have a “right” to Palestine, based on an occupation of two thousand years ago, can hardly be seriously considered.”

@spruce112358 saidIf Palestinians are victims of anyone, it's of their corrupt, brutal and incompetent leadership.
The only people *NOT* guilty of anything in the 'Palestinian Question' are the people who have lived in that area for the past 2 millennia.
But we all know this. The world's reply? "Fuuk the fuuking Arabs!" 😆
The world has gotten very... irrational of late.

They have an oceanfront land with almost unlimited international aid available (especially if they'd pursue peace). They could build another Dubai, but instead they've cast their lots in building another Afghanistan because they want to be the next great series of Islamic heroes who wiped out the Jews in the middle east.
Of course I feel terrible for the individual citizens who suffer due to Hamas' terrorist fundamentalist outlook, but that's on Hamas.
@sh76 saidWhy didn't Israel accept the ten-year cessation of hostilities (i.e. hudna) offered in 2006?

@spruce112358 saidNobody cares about the Arabs anti-Zionist feeling. If anyone needs to care is them. That has no bearing on the Jews. As for the land of Palestine. It did not belong to any nation but was part of some empire and at the time of partitioning it was a colony of the British Empire.

If after 120 years of hating Jews, you still getting nowhere, and you still suffering, still fighting Jews without any success, and you keep on doing the same thing, then this is the definition of stupidity. These are STUPID PEOPLE .... LOL... get that in your head. There is no other conflict in history where people have been so damn stupid.
As sh76 pointed out Gaza is on a prime spot on the Mediterranean Sea, with billion of $$$ at their disposal and all they can think of is war, building tunnels, killing Jews, and worse, they teach their children to do the same. When you Google 'stupidity', Gazans come up. Check it.
I apologise for not using the few choice words to describe these Islamic dunces, because these more appropriate words are not allowed by the moderators ... 😀

You mean that hunda?
(oh, were those details not spelled out in the Al Jazeera article or CAIR press release that you're reading from?)
@Rajk999 saidand building those tunnels with not only the money donated to them for infrastructure building, but converting the literal raw materials sent to them to build housing into tunnels and weapons...

Since Islam didn't come along until 600 AD it sure couldn't be the muslims.
@sh76 saidSo Israel rejected a 10-year peace treaty because they didn’t want to give up conquered land. 😆

Ok. Why did Israel renege on the Oslo Accords - the OTHER time Arabs offered peace?
@Rajk999 saidWhich waterfront the Jews blockaded for 16 years because they hate that Hamas won an election! 😆

After which election, Hamas offered a 10 year truce which Israel rejected without discussion.
Sounds like it’s the Jews who don’t want peace! 😆
@spruce112358 saidYes they are a conquered people. Maybe more of them need to die before they realise they are conquered.

As for the Olso Accords, the Israel pulled out of Gaza as agreed and uprooted thousands of Jews leaving behind millions of $$$ in infrastructure which Hamas subsequently destroyed. Talk about stupid !!!
After the Accords Arafat was building an army, which was in contravention of the agreement. Arafat was suppossed to build up a police force, not an army with rocket launchers and bombs. Muslims cannot be trusted, and no Jew is so stupid as to trust a Muslim or believe that he is going to keep his promise.
@spruce112358 saidThe Jews pulled out of Gaza in 2005. That was 19 years ago.

- Israel exited Gaza in 2005 as promised in the Oslo Accords
- Hamas won election in 2006.
- Shipments of weapons, rocket launchers etc started coming into Gaza from Iran
- In 2007 Hamas started firing these rockets at civilians in Israel
- THEN the port was closed.
From 2007 Israel blockaded the port and only small fishing was allowed.
Serves them right.
@Rajk999 saidthe palestinians biggest enemy is iran...that is what this whole thing is about, iran attacking Israel, then you have dumbasses blaming Israel when they are forced to defend themselves.

It is an idiot that sees "hamas" as the problem...hamas is irans current front name
@Rajk999 saidWe finally agree on something. YES. The Jews conquered that land and people - wrongly - and then tried to ethnically cleanse those people to set up "their" state. 😆
Yes they are a conquered people.
Everybody in the world agrees that we aren't doing that anymore. That behavior - so common throughout history - is NO.LONGER.ACCEPTABLE.
Israel is wrong. They need to make amends. The longer Israel goes on being stubborn and unjust, the worse the reckoning will be. 😆
