- Iraq in the 90s, where 500,000 you claim died. This was when Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait. The world stood against him and Iraq, and the UN imposed sanctions and warned Iraq that they will be sidelined and barred from trading. They refused to back off from Kuwait and as a result there was mass starvation in Iraq. Serves them right. This is an example of Islamic extremism in action again.
