An 18 minute movie clip that was shown in America talking about "Pallywood".
Come see the Palestinian's trying to gain support from the world by faking injuries and Israeli cruelty.
Sad, really..
I am however intrigued in what was implied.
Can someone give a proper summary?
Thanks.

Pallywood is a 18 minute documentary, proving how news stories and dramatic scenes are contrived and staged by palestinians, shot by news agencies and presented as news by a credulous news media. Best you just rec XanthosNZ's noncommital answer to it and move along, least ye bubble be burst.

I think the middle eastern sun also means that typical handicam on location just looks amaturish so to capitivate the western palate for authenticity they stoop to such immoral practices as faking incidents. I think the victims of the actual violence should sue these fly by night sensationalists. I blame FOX. This is just the logical extreme of chequebook journalism gone crazy.

Nobody should have to explain to you the difference between a movie depicting a historical event and a news clip of a current event.

I wish that I could "jump to the rescue of the Palestinians"; they'd have their own State and wouldn't be oppressed by people you grovel to.
To be clear, the staging of events and passing them off as actual events occurring in real time is a violation of journalistic ethics. This violation, however, does not mean that the Palestinians aren't being oppressed or that ALL reports of Israeli atrocities are staged as the original post seems to suggest

Your post is the first in this thread that can be interpreted as grovelling. Most unbiased observers of the conflict will conclude that there is wrong-doing on both sides of the fence. But when confronted with possible evidence of blatant manipulation the media with concocted news clips, only a diehard supporter like you will make a comment like that.
Originally posted by no1marauderFinally! You say something sensible. Nobody said that the Palestinians are not oppressed. Neither did anyone say that reports of Israeli atrocities are staged.

Originally posted by Rajk999What a surprise that you would pretend that it wasn't suggesting that the Palestinians are exaggerating their suffering under the Israelis. You're perfectly predictable.
I read it. Its a stretch of the imagination to think that anyone can conclude ALL reports are staged or that there is no oppression.
My original response remains valid; the fact that all the events in Schindler's List weren't completely true and some were fictionalized does not mean that the basic story isn't true. The same logic applies to the Palestinians and the events of the recent past.
