OK -- you win.

Escalated the war in Vietnam and created the Great Society programs which have done far more harm to the people they were intended to help and cost the taxpayers trillions of dollars.

A) ahem... um... is this the same Texas that tried to secede??

B) In a different interpretation... Massachussetts clearly has more Patriots. And they're three-time Superbowl champs.

C) Yeah, that guy.. Dubya... Not a patriot. War Criminal is closer.

a) They don't call us the Lone Star State for nothing.
b) Ahem, the Cowboys have only won five Super Bowls.
c) Say what you will, but there hasn't been another terrorist attack on U.S. soil since 9/11.

Does seceding make anyone any less of a patriot? The Civil War was fought because the seceding states wanted the government to abide by the Constitution. That to me IS patriotism.

Why do people think that winning the Superbowl makes them more of a patriot?

I agree with you about Bush.

What about 4000+ dead American Soliders and 200,000 dead Iraqis?

What about the vengence that some will seek when you leave their shores. Will they take the battle back to you again or will you continue to waste your money and lives.

Al-Q is laughing their heads off because Bush is so dumb he has spent years fighting the people who werent even responsible. You go to them so they can kill you from the background and save them time and money.

Well, first, that wasn't really Texas's reason for wanting to secede was it? They pretty much just wanted to be their own country. But I admit, my comment was meant to be a bit of snark.

2). That was a joke. Massachusetts has the most Patriots (as in The New England Patriots football team).

I doubt al-Qaeda is laughing since the United States has decimated its forces since the Surge began:

And helped big business in the form of all those wonderful corporations who as a result of this malfeasance, (providing welfare without infrastructural change ~ the program only went half way) you now have a permanent underclass which helps keep people keen as mustard to swallow living on the minimum wage.

Doesn't anyone get patriarchal oligarchy or is 1984 just a date in the past??
