Pirates just like the nazies killed people. They were just aas ruthless.
However if Johnney Depp dressed s a Nazi and made a film about "Nazi honour" etc it would be offensive.
I think you have the basis of a interesting point though.

Since the illegal invasion began, my property taxes are skewed, crime has gone up in my city, I've lost one vehicle that was totally demolished by an illegal immigrant with no insurance and a false identity and I can't go into a Wal-Mart on Sunday without feeling like I'm in a foreign bazaar. What's more, I'm truly fearful that whenever I will need emergency care, I will be seriously delayed or unable to receive treatment since every time you go to a hospital, the waiting rooms are stacked so full that you can't turn anywhere in the room and spit without hitting an illegal. Mexico can keep its biggest export as far as I'm concerned.
Hollywood is the world's supreme court... unfortunately.
If Johny Depp would dress like a Mexican and act in a movie where
people jumping the border appear as funny, witty and with a 'life of
cinema', the whole U.S. would adore illegal aliens all of a sudden and
the visas would fly for everybody.

You'll love illegal aliens after it.

Sold I to the merchant ships,
Minutes after they took I
From the bottomless pit...
Pirates never committed genocide.

Pirates were never one group with one philosophy. Some of those labeled as pirates were actually more correctly 'hired guns', people who were hired by the government to prey on ships of opposing nations.
Also as many of their crimes were committed on no mans land (sea actually), one wonders what laws were being broken.

Originally posted by AThousandYoungDo you really believe that? Was arson legal in Germany when the Nazis burned the Reichstag? Was murder legal when Hitler ordered the execution of Ernst Rohm during the "Night of Long Knives"? No, it wasn't. Or at least it wasn't until Hitler changed the law with the "Law Regarding Measures of State Self-Defense" which retroactively legalized it. And finally, why do you think Hitler spent eight months in Lansberg prison in 1924? It's because he was convicted of treason after his Beer Hall Putsch, which was, of course, illegal. The Nazis, I would wager, broke many, many laws with near impunity, both before and after their rise to power.

Originally posted by rwingettI guess you could argue the Nazis didn't break German laws, because they destroyed the german institution which would judge them.

However, they never destroyed the international rule of law, and were ultimately brought to justice.
I was going to say "unlike our friends the illegal aliens", but I guess they're a lot like the Nazis in this sense, in that they have destroyed the political will to try them for their crimes. Instead, it seems increasingly likely they will be given amnesty and their crimes will be forgotten.
Regrettably, their is no higher court of appeal, as in the case of the Nazis.

With a renewed sense of humility, I hope you can maybe see the 'discovery' of the Americas by Columbus, for the alien invasion it truly was, and as a result of that knowledge, maybe see the land you inhabit not as yours, but as something stolen for which you owe a great debt to the original indigenous owners.
I can't go into a Wal-Mart on Sunday without feeling like I'm in a foreign bazaar.
Unless of course you are yourself indeed descended from indigenous stock, but then I would find most of your right wing rhetoric slightly absurd.
