There's been a lot of hopeful conjecture but...
If The New York Times is correct, Karl Rove, President Bush's senior
adviser and deputy chief of staff, will not be charged on Friday(today).

Originally posted by xsYeah I saw that too. Although it sounds like the special prosecutor plans on continuing the investigation with Rove being the focus. Drawing this even further into Bush's second term does not bother me one bit. We will take them down one at a time until the bumbling idiot we call Mr. President stands alone in the White House.

I bet ol Novak was squawking like a parrot when they questioned him.

So...you're ignoring the fact that I. Lewis Libby will be indicted today. And Rove's not off the hook. In fact, it's the worst possible case for the Bush administration. the Cheif of Staff of the Vice President of the United States - and Cheney's really running the country anyway - has been indicted. So there's confirmation of corruption at the ...[text shortened]... will be put on trial.
May George Bush begin the lame duck portion of his presidency. Today.
making false statements to mislead the grand jury, obstruction of
justice and two perjury counts. The odds of Libby, someone without
a prior record and with years of public service, getting a maximum
sentence are pretty low.
The charges do not implicate Libby in the original cause for convening
the grand jury - that someone in the White House knowingly and
deliberately revealed a covert intelligence officer's identity.
I don't think he'll roll over (even if he could), can you say Presidential pardon?

I just read the indictment. I don't know if the false statement charges will stick, because they're both he-said she-said charges involving Tim Russert and Matt Cooper. But the perjury charge will bring him down.
OK, so...let's go over a few things. George Bush is not a strong leader within his own White House. By that I mean this: even dur ...[text shortened]... s he, because his people don't. The buck stops with him, right? He's responsible, isn't he?

Grazie!
I don't know why it all has to come down to "this guy is our guy, so we're going to defend him no matter what". Your brother, yes. But I can't help but believe that most of Bush's remaining support is really just people who can't or won't admit their mistake.
I found a nice picture of some renovations they're making to the White House by the way.
